Basilio Legacy

The Basilio Legacy, my current legacy challenge project, is my first time venturing into the Sims 4. Albeit, heavily modded (the only way I will ever be able to play TS4).

I'm playing this challenge with the following rules in mind:

  • Gender law: Equal - The Founder may be of either gender. Both boys and girls are eligible for the title of heir.
  • Bloodline law: Strict Traditional - To be eligible to be named heir, a child must be naturally born from their previous-generation parents and be able to trace an unbroken bloodline back to the founder. Adopted children may never be named heir.
  • Heir law: Exemplar (modified) - At the beginning of the challenge, name a single trait. This trait must be one of your founder's three traits. Any eligible heir that has this trait will gain the title of heir. If a single generation has no children with this trait follow the First Born rule. If more than one child has the Exemplar trait then the oldest child WITH the trait will be the heir.
  • Species law: Tolerant - The species of the child has no impact on their eligibility for heir status.
  • Exemplar trait: Purple Eyes - Where the "modified" part of the Exemplar rule comes in, and also why the Bloodline is on Strict Traditional. Instead of the standard personality trait, children must have purple eyes to be considered heir.

The Saga

  • 2.8 - Something Old, Something New
    • Salim gets really into yoga, Etan opens his own veterinary practice, Elmira breaks some news to the family, and the status quo shifts.
  • 2.7 - Dreams Can Come True
    • Doba tells Elmira something under the full moon, things heat up, while Salim and Miguel settle into their retirement.
  • 2.6 - Ebb and Flow
    • Etan announces something, Elmira makes a new friend, and Miguel's age starts catching up to him.
  • 2.5 - Growing Pains
    • Elmira puts herself out there and realizes that maybe dating isn't for her, while Etan drops out of university and reconsiders what he wants out of life.
  • 2.4 - Welcome to Adulthood
    • In which Etan and Elmira say goodbye to their teenage years and realize their childhoods kind of sucked.
  • 2.3 - Diverging Paths
    • Etan and Elmira find their niches in life, and Salim and Miguel start to feel okay despite all the curveballs thrown their way.
  • 2.2 - Some Semblance of Normalcy
    • Miguel and Salim focus on their careers, Etan and Elmira grow up, and the Basilios discover the horrors of visiting the doctor.
  • 2.1 - It Should be Perfect
    • In which Miguel questions how he even got here, Salim tries his best, and the twins Etan and Elmira start discovering the world.
  • 1.1 - Rags to Nuclear Family
    • From humble beginnings, tragedy, and a couple of gifts from fate, Miguel Basilio starts his new life in Windenburg.
